So, turns out the bursa in my right hip was inflamed; got a cortisone shot yesterday so we can see if it's related to the knee issues or not. Supposed to take it easy for a couple of weeks so we can see what's up. Of course, there's a kung fu demo on Saturday...

So, no classes for me, but will try out doing the demo bits today to see how the hip's doing. If I only practice those for 15-20 minutes/day and take it easy the rest of the time, in theory I can do it. If half-seated cross stance, pubu, sweeps or tornadoes were involved, I wouldn't do it, but intro to cannon's pretty easy in that respect. Meantime, L's learning my part.

Also, taking it easy means not sitting for too long either, esp. not at the PC , light to no gardening, no long walks... rrrr *sigh* Even weaving's going to have to be in short stretches.

On the plus side, staying away from gluten continues to be helpful. I doubt I'll lose any weight over the next two weeks with the enforced inactivity, but I should be able to at least maintain my current weight.
