Environmental Stuff - other side
Jun. 19th, 2007 09:22 pmThere is still a debate about climate change, of course.... a debate that will probably go on for decades, that being human nature. After all, debates still occur over things from hundreds of years ago, so why should this be any different? So here's a site that's against the idea that people are contributing to climate change:
Blog with view of another scientist
In the blog Mr. McCarty notes that Richard Lindzen's research was funded by the U.S. government, not energy companies....
BTW, the scientists who put out the report that I posted yesterday also do not work for energy companies (4 are from the Goddard Institute for Space Studies, one being the director of same. The other two are from universities).
And of course, regardless of whether or not people are contributing significantly to climate change, there doesn't seem to be much debate on the fact that the glaciers and ice fields are melting at an accelerated rate.
The major debate there is how fast and how much sea levels will rise. And, even the more urgent report states that the rising sea levels could take a century to get to their maximum height.
