baronessmartha, nazrynn, bytchearse, kass_rants, peregrinning, and kyleri (who seems to have gone offline)... oh and math5 too, although she went to check things out earlier today and there hasn't been anything else from her since....
There seems to be something odd going on; they're claiming zombies are on the loose, of all things. Silly, of course. But, seeing as they're usually sensible people and there's a cemetery nearby, I took a look earlier today...
... and started packing the minivan. After pouring some ammonia around the edges of the property --peregrinning mentioned they had an aversion to it. I have some in a spritzer bottle too.
Fortunately we have our bugout kits already packed, so we tossed those in, more water, food, bows and arrows, swords, and the rest of the armor of course. I figured wearing my gorget, body armor w/pauldrons, vambraces, and demi-gauntlets would cover the most easily accessible bits, while not hindering movement much while packing. Think the combat archery stuff is going in to, with a jar of ammonia to dip the tips in before shooting. The barn loom's already disassembled and strapped to the top of the car, with a couple of the smaller looms, yarn, and spinning equipment. Hey, who knows when we'll be able to come back? Might as well have something to do.... grabbed some books too (fun and study), of course, and the backgammon and cribbage boards.
We'll be heading out soon, up to the farm. Anybody from our area need a lift? We only have the 2 main seats in, so it'll be a rough ride, but I'm sure we can pack you in amongst the stuff. Or if you have a vehicle, we can caravan -- safety in numbers.
