Roses, Sunday, Monday

fitzw got to play with the other fighters :) I was dressed up all nice and girly since no fighting or archery for me right now. Had some great conversations with various folks, including ones I don't get to see very often, like blaecstan. Did a little bit of spinning, not too much. Was having trouble raising my arms very high. Nice chats with sorcieredeneige, Anselim, Jolanna, and Sunnifa and her lovely dog Tara, and Colin and his lady Adonna (sp?). Met a couple of people from our area who are getting active in the SCA again. Missed seeing it happen, but Grimm the Skald apprenticed to Master Toki Redbeard. Vivant! Travel both ways was uneventful.
Sunday was supposed to be working on the dining room day I thought, but many things had to happen besides that, like finding all the tools. Much cleaning happened in the basement, and alsofitzw was trying to be in many places at once, so also some armor got fixed, the newest addition to the loom collection was cleaned and assembled (mostly - needs a couple of bolts), and he also removed quite a bit of wallpaper from the walls of the second floor room I've been working on getting cleared. And other stuff, too. So, it's all good :)
Called Mom and chatted for a bit. She's doing well. Got a great find at the local flea market in her community yesterday. A set of black lacquered coasters that came in their own little lacquered box, the designs done in gold. Different flowers on each coaster, and the style matches a little tea set she has perfectly.
Tomorrow, a quick stop at Home Depot for some insulated gloves, a stop in Sunderland, and then up to the farm!
