I never in 23 yrs SCA made the Anno Societatus/Beltane connection!

You probably never made the connection because the SCA's date was chosen by when the picnic happened. And when the picnic was held on Beltaine, those folks had no idea that the SCA would be created... serendipity :)

Your friend is certainly welcome to read my LJ (thanks!). She can friend me or not, as she wishes -- the majority of my posts are public, because it's one less radio button for me to click :D

Locking my dream post was rare for me; the major stuff I lock is the more serious druid study stuff, mostly because I figure it won't be of interest to the majority of my LJ friends, so I set up a filter for the druids on my f-list.

I tend not to friend people I haven't met, but it's nothing personal -- I have to put limits on my friending somehow, or I can't keep up with all the stuff that's posted. For that matter, I haven't friended all the LJ people I _do_ know... same reason. I just check up on some of them once in a while :)
