Good stuff
Apr. 11th, 2007 10:21 amWhile the Feds are trying to figure out what to do, a whole lot of mayors and their cities are getting things done: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17996836/site/newsweek/
I was impressed by the number of cities involved so far (435), and especially by some of the things they're working on or have already completed. Chicago's planted 400,000 trees! And they're doing smart things like checking the temp maps to find the hot spots in the city and planting trees and grass in these places (including on the tops of buildings). Good stuff happening in Austin, TX of all places, Cambridge, and NYC too!
