Workshops! and stuff from this week
Apr. 7th, 2007 09:50 amToday there are both a 14th c. clothing workshop, which
sorcieredeneige and I am going to, and there is a scribal workshop. Unfortunately scheduling, but sometimes that just can't be helped, especially with a big event like Coronation coming up next Saturday!
mizpagan should also be at the clothing workshop, but
ellid has to go the scribal one, as she has a scroll to work on that's due next Saturday.
fitzw will be doing a bit of stuff here, but then going up to the farm to help out around there. Probably something with trees. It's a lot of land to maintain, and so things fall a bit behind/out of balance from time to time in various parts of the land. Hopefully the returning hands this year will be a help with that :)
Did a tiny bit of boxing this week, have cleared two small tables to move into storage so we have more space to do renovations downstairs, and got some reading done. Not as much meditation as I might have liked, but that happened too. And think I may need to play with something instead of the I Ching for a bit -- although it has led to some interesting thinking.
Bardic circle was fun last night - small but good group. We read/performed stories and poems and such, and talked about the nature of some of the stories. Taliesin's name came up more than once, and not just from the book I brought for the night. One story was about a dream (modern story but traditional story components), and people talked about some of the things they've dreamed about -- I mentioned that beads sometimes come up in my dreams and someone asked what the significance was -- I've never really studied dream analysis, so I have no idea. Usually they're at a merchant's booth/tables, once in a museum -- doesn't seem to matter what the theme of the dream is, either.
Well, best get a few things done before
sorcieredeneige comes to pick me up for the workshop.
