A little weather
Mar. 5th, 2007 03:12 pm... I'm currently a little low, physically, although I thoroughly enjoyed the doings over the weekend. A snow squall just blew through our part of Holyoke. I wished I were made of sterner stuff, but contented myself with looking out the window, standing next to the ivy we have in the computer room -- it helps to clean the air -- not to worry, we give it "time off" in the bathroom or bedroom, so it can take a break and get some sun :) It's thriving quite nicely!
The snow did indeed start suddenly, and the wind came from all directions. Left, then right, then from the far right and toward our house. Sometimes swirls and small 'tornadoes' or 'snow devils' started up and then vanished. A sudden gust would push a nearly solid-looking wall of white right through our backyard neighbor Mary's row of hemlocks. Sometimes the snow raced in a mad dash, sometimes the wind would eddy so that the snow could dance. I contented myself with letting my spirit now dance gently with the snow, now fly madly about, laughing with the wild spirits whose joy of being in this part of the land is a most rare thing.
Of course later we'll have to brave the elements to get to our meeting, but that is then, this was the now.
