More than just more nutrition and fewer pesticides.... how about maybe fewer heart attacks?

I don't doubt it for a minute. It makes me wish even more that we could somehow lower the price and change the distribution methods in this country so that the population that most needs nutritious food (primarily low income people of all ages, inner city residents who lack access to grocery stores, those on public assistance or food stamps) could have access to the best. Organic is simply too expensive for the people who need it most, and that really bothers me. Why should those with the money for good healthcare get all the goodies?

Agreed! Although in Holyoke at least, some folks are eating better now. We have public gardens and people can grow some of their own food. When we go by there in the summer time there's always some out there tending one of the plots. May not verified organic, but local and fresh, which is still pretty good.
