Solar Energy Projects
Feb. 18th, 2007 04:31 pmA project
fitzw and I are thinking about doing:
http://www.motherearthnews.com/Alternative_Energy/2006-12-01/Build-a-Simple-Solar-Heater
(would be great on the print shop/studiolo!)
The author of the above article, Gary Reysa, has a web site with other solar projects: http://www.BuildItSolar.com. And while the name of the site may be "BuildItSolar", he also has stuff on rainwater collecting, a strawbale home, and sundry other items of interest.
I was going to post the link for another smaller project at MotherEarthNews.com, but their web site is being flaky right now. It's a slanted collector that is outside/below a window, with a vent attached at the bottom of the window opening (and of course you'd have to lock up the upper half of the window frame to keep your house secure, but that's easy enough).
