Weekend Update
Nov. 16th, 2020 10:47 amRe-arranging and moving stuff continues. Got a tall bookcase out of storage yesterday and into the house for our friends' pantry area. Trying to go vertical instead of horizontal to reclaim the dining room table area. Still have more work to do with stuff we've all stored underneath it while redoing other parts of the house, but it's getting there.
Found some short boxes of comics, which are now in the barn. More stuff will be getting trashed soon.
Picked up a wood folding door from the transfer point for the barn. The lacquer (?) finish is flaking off but otherwise in pretty good condition. At some point we'll have to go over it lightly with sandpaper to remove whatever's loose - I don't care much if it's pretty as long as it's functional and isn't making a mess.
Re-organizing the pantry/laundry room so I have more room for food in there. Although it isn't a straight-up plus for room because I'm also moving food from off of the outer wall shelving -- yarn and roving make better insulation ;)
Getting the living room set up for winter mode, bit by bit. I have some roving under the plant table for when I have time to do some spinning again.

Date: 2020-11-18 07:38 pm (UTC)I think doing it in front of the solar panels might be good -- put a few obstacles between the doors and the new garden area.
My re-organizing is almost always slow, I feel. I have to remember that occasionally that's a good thing -- things that I didn't know where to put them that I can't find a home for until I've moved other things, or until a new thing has showed up at our home.

Date: 2020-11-19 06:41 pm (UTC)I've always had trouble organizing my art and craft stuff, so that's almost a side issue to the above, but making a tiny bit of progress there. Building the library means books are mostly available again, including some that have been in storage in the trailer since we moved here. At any rate, progress is being made.
