bytchearse posted today about his outrage at the non-binding resolution regarding Iraq today (NBRs are pointless). thorsbaby posted a letter he received from Patrick Leahy (VT) with a copy of the speech he gave on the Senate floor today (a link in the letter), chastising members of Congress who were doing everything they could to avoid a debate on ending the war in Iraq. A number of people expressed their agreement with bytchearse about bringing our soldiers back home and ending our part in the unending conflict.

I myself believe that we are only hurting our troops, what reputation our country has left, and the civilians of Iraq in what is an immense waste of lives and resources. Others who read this may differ with that opinion.

But rather than natter on about it in an LJ post, I just want to say that I wrote to my senators and my representative to protest the war and to urge them to do whatever they have to do to get our folks out of there.

It is not for me to say tell anyone what they should write, for or against this situation. But there above is an easy way to make your voice heard.
