Planning Life
Jun. 13th, 2020 10:53 amI'm trying to create a mindscape that works for planning and living for the next year or so. I need a framework that isn't so dependent on what other people are doing, and figuring out which people and businesses are compatible with that framework.
This planning is a little bit like moving to another country, where you don't know where all the resources are, have new customs to learn and new ways of doing things. How do you make connections? How do you meet people? Etc. Very tiring at first but eventually new things become habits and you're able to take on more, and have more time to enjoy where you live.
Of course the jarring part for most folks is that we haven't moved anywhere, but our country has changed around us, pandemic-wise. And in regards to sexism, racism, and the climate crisis the increased stress and pressure on everyone has removed any coverings those had. More and more people can see the diseases plainly. Now if one buries their head in the sand, there is no denying that that is exactly what one is doing. But sickness must be rooted out in order to become well.
For me, that part of the framework remains much the same - contact legislators, donate to a few useful organizations (not much, but still), try to live a cleaner life.
The hardest part is the social aspect. Ah, I haven't really had time to work that out in words yet, so I'll stop here for now.
