Drawing and Life Stuff
Nov. 9th, 2019 08:57 pmI have been getting some drawing in this week. Working on a fantasy picture. The figures have been challenging, for some reason. It's getting there. I need to spend a little time watching water movement before I ink.

I got some of the ginger roots into coconut coir in a crate and down into the basement for the winter; the rest I covered up with soil and layers of sheeting and fabric at night. Even in the greenhouse it gets too cold for no protection now.

Last night we were up late, chatting and waiting for Gavin to get back from the house fire. Then we chatted some more after he got back, and were all a bit wired. So, got a little over four hours of sleep last night...
This morning Lyle dropped me off at the clothing swap and did a transfer station run. I puttered around at the swap, delivered something to a friend, picked up clothing for myself, friends, and crafting (t-shirts, esp. damaged ones). When Lyle came back we had lunch, did another run to the transfer point, then went back home to do things. The ginger will be waiting until tomorrow - time in the greenhouse is a bit limited at the moment. Driving to Greenfield will wait until tomorrow, when hopefully we'll be more rested.
On the house fire, an Ashfield resident lost her house and barn to a fire. She and her dog are fine. Folks at the swap put together some clothing, towels, etc. Lyle and I contributed a sturdy backpack - always useful. They also had a jar out for contributions -- only the first of a number of fundraisers, I'm sure.
Did some laundry, and getting ready to do some ironing.. we'll see what else gets done tonight.
