On Thursday we didn't dress up but we did go into town to Country Pie Pizza for dinner and then moseyed over to Elmer's for a couple of Chai Lattes and got to see a lot of the kids. Some nice creativity this year :)
I also tried to find out more about a winter holiday shopping thing that happens in our town, and may end up making some stuff happen. We'll see how that goes.
Today we went to a nearby farm that's on the Cider Days tour so we could watch Morris and related types of dance. Got to chat with a few friends there, more than I expected, so that was a nice bonus.

In to-do news:
I moved a smaller bookcase in yesterday, so between the two, a definite improvement. Also, borrowed the bag of keys from the farm and we succeeded in finding keys to fit both the curio cabinet and the china cabinet! Gavin did some more trim work, as well as insulating the last door and caulking a couple of windows a bit more. The library did not go below freezing overnight.
Not a bad day's work today, too. Moved things to/from the grey shed, blue shed, barn, greenhouse, house, and barn. So, basically every place except the trailer
Birch bark is now drying in the greenhouse along with some of the nuts we've gathered. Vacuumed the blue shed and put some wood and some camping supplies out there. For some reason this year, the Asian lady beetles thing the shed is a great place to winter over -- then they freeze and die. Strange, don't know why they're doing it.
Lyle and I moved the books from one of the Schwall bookcases from the house to the library. Then he carried that over and screwed the center shelf into place. Overall the bookcase is in good condition but had started to spread, so this should keep it in good order for a few more decades, if not quite a bit longer.
He also pulled the battery from the riding lawn mower and tomorrow will pull the filter and fuel line, so the battery doesn't die and critters don't chew on things.
Finally smudged the library space tonight, and then did the barn as well, for good measure.
