Let's see...we went to the family farm and I moved stuff out near one of the barn doors for once L was done with the hay, and ended up moving enough stuff for two trips with a pickup truck to the trailer. He did add a few more things on the second trip, to fill the truck but I did pretty well I think. Hope so, since I was at it for 4 hours. Sleep was less than comfortable last night...also, kind of warm. L ended up opening a window and I opened the bedroom door for some coolness and air circulation.

The mechanics were full up yesterday so they couldn't look at the minivan until today. We'll be checking in with them in a little bit, I expect.

Going to try to move another load of stuff into the trailer today, but hopefully I will get some cleaning and sewing done as well. And remember to bring in the laundry...well, I was a little distracted yesterday :D

I am just relieved that you were not only not in the car, much less on a highway, but amongst people who could and did help.
Cars on fire sucks. Glad you are safe.

Yes, if it had to happen, this was definitely the best case scenario.

We're also planning on buying fire extinguishers for both vehicles. It really is a good idea but like many people, we haven't done it.

We call em carbecues. My old car burned 9 times before I gave up on it.

We keep two extinguishers per car, I have to replace one I gave away a couple of months ago.

Maybe the Hardware store can get you a case price? You need some for the house and barn as well.

We have one for the house, kept just outside of the kitchen. Do need one for the barn, though.
