Here's another one of building the forest at Yule (that's me behind the tree - I was making 'bushes' by sticking branches into the bales):

Naked ladies are common on Italian Ren. plates, and I knew he'd appreciate getting one. The monkey on the left is holding a beefstick and the cat on the right is Bad Betty, who likes to watch Odbald working on his dishes.


Inspired by Odbald's advice to Toki at his vigil this past Pennsic.


And last but not least, the town. I was a good way through painting this part before I could figure out that the blue 'fences' was a river and the vertical bits were grasses or something growing on the nearer bank. Once I figured that out, the rest of it made a lot more sense. The town is pretty much as depicted on the plate I took it from, except that I added a period kiln to it (the funnel-shaped building on the right).
