plates, sheep, inventory, bookbinding and snow

It is still snowing. There isn't a whole lot out there, but enough to stay on the street overnight.

Plate #2 is completed and ready for firing. Plate #1 was being difficult but is further along. It may or may not get done for Birka. Plate #3 is started.

Some sheep parts have been cut out. sorcieredeneige called to volunteer some help with them, so tomorrow I have to cut out more sheep parts and sew them together. Then she can stuff them and sew them up.

Oh, and did card inventory, and looks like I have only a dozen or so I need to make.

fitzw did more work making books tonight. I think there'll be enough for Birka, but baronessmartha will probably have to wait until after Birka for that refill. But she will get it very soon thereafter (maybe Sunday morning, if we have any left over and she's still there).

He also has mats to cut for some prints...

I may downplay the card display this year, not sure... No new art likely to happen this year. I have a regular customer who will be disappointed, but it's been an interesting year... Well, perhaps a miracle will occur and I'll sew more quickly than usual and then paint like a demon.

I was confused for a minute by 'Some sheep parts have been cut out.' until I realized that you were talking about fabric. Amazing how quickly certain sets of thought patterns can change!

*grin* Sorry 'bout that. Dollmakers are kind of an odd lot, talking casually about working with body parts. I used to make bunnies too -- still do, on rare occasions (they wear medieval clothing usually).

I, on the other hand, cut *all* the sheep parts out the same day -prevents spoilage ; )

(My bunnies wear mustard sauce.)
