Misc. Update

helwenLight week for Kung Fu last week; weapons night was good. Getting a few things done around the house.
From knee to hip on the right is on the cranky side for no particular reason; bending the knee is sometimes not advisable.
Didn't get to Angelina's housewarming Saturday - way too much going on with farm stuff and moving. On the plus side, getting enough strong bodies to move finally move the woodstove out of the apartment and into storage in our barn is a Good Thing (tm).
Sunday was chores at home and at the farm, dump run, and then we got in 3 hours at the little e: http://www.thelittlee.org/
We didn't go to any of the workshops but did get to chat with various fiber folks, and there were also conventional and alternative energy people there, a company with generators on display that can power your whole house, conventional (but local) food vendors, community outreach/education groups (inc. local community college and Audubon wilderness camp), and more. They had sets of three cans set up in multiple places for recycle/compost/trash, with exemplar pics above each receptacle. Lots of folks attending but it stayed very tidy so I think they put out enough of them.
Came home with some pamphlets, wool (mostly roving and bats), a couple of soaps and an interesting soap dish. The center is raised and has grooves in it, so the soap rests on this and drains excess water into the outer area of the dish.
Things rarely go as planned these days, but overall, a decent weekend.
