We'll be there with Odbald and Pagan (March Hare), between Reconstructing History (kass_rants), and Majik Badger. Our island also has Argent Needle (Maitresse Muriel), Timetravel Textiles (seen her work), Kris Krafts (K the spinster), and Longstrider Trading (not familiar with him). Should be an interesting weekend!

Eadric the Potter of ironwoodpottery.com will be there. Sigh. We bought a couple of Tudor goblets from him this past Pennsic. He has such beautiful things... I'll have to see about getting some book recommendations from him, although we don't have a pottery wheel... yet. We're near J&L Leather, Small Churl Books, for larger landmarks. We're two islands away from freya46.

Looks like all/most of the armor merchants are in the Armory.

I noticed there is a Carolingian Cooperative, next to the Pepperer's Guild and Kellswood Krafts (among other things, she has Pelican t-shirts, etc. -- photo of a pelican statue from Notre Dame -- I got fitzw the shirt and the mousepad at Yule). It's my understanding that Kellswood Krafts will be carrying some of Chiara of Ravenna's supplies (no longer merchanting), so could be a good place to go for artist supplies.

Yeah, they both had writs--I think Atlantia uses them a LOT more than the East

This reign has seen a lot of writs. Atlantian practice has not generally been to use writs, but most crowns are willing to respect the wishes of people to be served notice. What is particularly interesting is that there was a discussion on the kingdom mailing list. The person who started it was using a specific elevation (sans writ) to ask that writs become more the norm. One respondent begged to differ, on the grounds that it wasn't The Atlantian Way. That person happens to be the king right now -- who has been serving writs right and left, it seems.

For what it's worth, there was supposed to be a peer-student panel discussion at noon, but

A. It's not on there.

B. I am trying to reschedule it to avoid a bad conflict.
