Self-Stitched September
Sep. 7th, 2011 01:52 pmDay 4 was undies, no pic.
Day 6 was a very simple purple linen shirt. Was originally two pieces in a "T", scoop neck, seams separate for the bottom couple of inches (for easier fit over hips). I did recently take it in a couple of inches, center front and back, because the neck opening was too wide across the shoulders. No pic this time, but I'll try to remember next time I wear it.
Day 7: threw on a linen bog shirt this morning, then we decided to go to Elmer's for a late breakfast and we have discount shirts for that so I changed (10% off breakfast when you wear the shirt). Switching for the afternoon to a boring grey linen long-sleeve shirt with an old wool poncho over it, to go down to the sugarhouse for a little bit. The poncho's in excellent shape, actually, and I love it for rainy weather. I brought it to my first Pennsic, and it's been to every Pennsic I've gone to, as well as other places.

Date: 2011-09-07 09:36 pm (UTC)The sleeves are trapezoids instead of rectangles, as that seems to work better for practical activities. So I guess it's more of a Chinese top, really.
