So, went to the chiropractors and the bank, then back home again. [personal profile] fitzw still wasn't doing terribly well first thing in the morning, so he'd slept in. Late morning he was doing a little better, so we went to Webs, bought much thread/yarn for weaving, I learned more about what makes a good warp yarn, [personal profile] fitzw got lease sticks for the barn/rug loom, I got more bobbins for the shuttle type I have the most of (small boats by leClerc).

Then we went up to Phoenix Games in Sunderland, but they weren't scheduled to be open until 2pm. So we went to Frontier Pizza and had some great calzones. It still wasn't 2 and I'd been wanting to see [profile] gwynt_y_storm again, so we called her and sure enough she was home and was happy for us to come by. So, we had a nice chat about sundry things, and then the boys wanted to try for the store again. Which was still closed. Perhaps the owner is on vacation this week; a sign would have been nice. Oh well. We now had time to go to Barnes & Noble, so we did that. Z managed to spend most of the $70 in gift cards he got :D [personal profile] fitzw and I found some books as well, then we left there shortly after 3:30, as he was tiring and needed to take another rest.

I got: _The Encyclopedia of Country Living_ by Carla Emery, _Four-Season Harvest_ by Eliot Coleman, and _Gardening When It Counts (growing food in hard times)_ by Steve Solomon, a Mother Earth News book.

[personal profile] fitzw got a couple of Read or Die books, the next in the Julian May Boreal Moon series _Iron Crown_, and S.M. Stirling's _Dies the Fire_. Z gave him the first in that series for Christmas, _The Protector's War_, which of course he's already started reading, so he wanted the next book to be ready and waiting when he finished the first one.

Set up for client, who needed a lot of work. Not the longest session we've had, but 1-1/2 hours was long enough. So, was kind of tired and took the rest of the evening off to watch a movie with the boys - Rush Hour 2.

You'll have to let me know how your new books are. I'm always looking for good gardening/harvesting books to keep on my shelf. Both for reading and for reference. I'll have to see what titles I already have - some are in storage at the moment. But I should make up a list of what I have. I do know that I don't have any of the three that you just bought.

I hope fitzw is feeling better soon.
