Patterns and Shoes and Hats, Oh My!

Stuff that's in - patterns from Rocking Horse Farm, patterns, from Reconstructing History, shoes and stockings from Fugawee, voyageur hats, magnifier in wood case, and hooks & eyes.

Looks like we'll have to correspond with Fugawee to see about shoe sizing. Might be able to stretch my pair, but L's is definitely too small. Nice-looking shoes though, and well-made. The buckles are great!

The patterns should keep me busy for a bit, just browsing through them and trying to figure out which one to start on first...

But first... more dishwashing, cleaning, and finishing making those valances, LOL. Oh, and the cover for the freestanding wardrobe too, of course.

And no, we will _not_ be leaving the house to go anywhere today. Snow is plowed, freezing rain is now here.

Choosing which to do first is a quandary, yep. Have fun with them!

I hope to be able to make..read that as be in condition to feel comfortable making..a nice grey, black, and cream riding habit later in the year. We shall see.

Hm, gee, I wonder where that color combo comes from? ;)

Interestingly, I have quite a bit of greys, black, and cream -- mostly in wool or linen. Although there's a bit of lovely grey silk too, sigh... It's a nice combination, those colors :)

LOL It is a nice combination. It comes, I think from the Ranger/Forester activities..but it has bled across to...or from..other things. I am not really certain which way it goes at this point.

But I like the combination a lot and it is featuring in my clothing and gear, yep. :) Even have some lovely grey silk..which I will hold on to until I feel I can use it and do it justice. ;)
