Busy Times!
Nov. 16th, 2010 09:37 amThis past Saturday we went to Concordia's Investiture - saw Angus step down and Pierre step up. Good chats, sold some raffle tickets, and picked up a few goodies at an estate sale on the way to the event.
Sunday was in pain from all the long time sitting in the car and from standing all day, but we still got some things done. L got more done than I did, as my MIL was having problems with her hip so I drove down to Gfld to work on that. Choir practice was good.
Yesterday Eli came up and helped Fitzw load, unload, and partially stack 3 cord of wood. I sorted, moved, and cleaned part of the office and some other bits. One of the things we bought Saturday was a Cushman music cabinet. It's set up stackable barrister-case-style, with two the same size and one a little shallower. I brought up most of it myself, polished all the wood parts, and gently tapped the backs on two of them back into place (probably loosened by travel).
Went to earlier kung fu class, so we'd be home sooner to take care of things here.

Tuesday: put maple cream into containers, help L make brick pops. Wash and pack eggs. Go to Gfld to work on MIL's hip then we take her to Dr. appt. then back to rehab center, then back home to work on stuff. Talk my Mom through how to attach a file. Deliver eggs if we can fit it in today.
Wednesday: Eggs delivery today if we didn't make it Tuesday. Wrapping and labelling brick pops, kung fu, shopping for ingredients for Waldorf salad and maybe some other stuff.
Thursday: hopefully L will have time to prep the squash (cube it for cooking), and maybe making the harvest cake. Evening is delivery of goods at the local goods catalog pickup at school. Bye bye cream and pops!
Friday: Oat scones today? Maybe Saturday morning... I believe SIL D is picking Ma up from the center this day. Make Waldorf salad today or Saturday a.m. If we're lucky, kung fu class.
Saturday: very early, put in turkey. Make whatever still needs making. Then of course, eat everything :D
***
Not included is fitting in harvesting dried beans, planting garlic and onions, gathering eggs daily (L), washing and packing more eggs, figuring out where the new (to us) cedar chest is going to go and making space for it, and no doubt a bunch of other things... gotta make sure to make time in there for drawing too, even if it's just a little bit of time.
