Tanka Challenge

A tanka a day
for the month of November?
So not happening.
The garden has other thoughts
And egg washing must be done.



We plan and plan but
Daylight is ever fleeing
Winter creeps about
nipping at leaves and fingers
painting the world with diamonds.



It's a puzzlement
Should I take pen and paper
Wherever I go?
Poetry runs through my head
Usually when I'm outside...
