Changing of the Guard for Birds in England

Boxing Day, walking, talking... Apparently one very common activity in the UK on Boxing Day is going for a walk. Interesting historical tidbits in the article too.

The Boxing Day article is quite good. We joined the gang ourselves, and I'll try and blog about it later.
The birds article is interesting. We do see evidence of certain birds disappearing from our garden and walks, usually replaced with alternate breeds. Interesting to see seabirds and birds of prey improving. I'm particularly excited about the Sea Eagle! *g*

Yes, I'm glad to see so many people active in tracking and helping birds, and thought you'd like this one too.

There was another article at the site on how there's a plan to take dirt that's been dug up from London and build a bird island too.
