Earth Day Post and a Mystery Plant
Apr. 22nd, 2009 03:41 pmHm, Kyleri already did this, but we don't all have the same friends, so I'll post this too.
fabricdragon posted about sustainability through supporting handcrafters:
Earth Day Post
It's a good idea -- support your local artisans, farms, small businesses.... here we're including online community obviously, not just geographically close, since a lot of my crafter friends don't live in the same state I do, but create some lovely and unique items.
Go forth and browse :)

Went for a short walk today, to check on a mystery plant. A few weeks back I wrote about L and I going for a walk and spotting a swamp buttercup relative. I hadn't done more than glance out of the corner of my eye and noted the size and color of the flower. Later I realized that had to have be wrong because it's too early for cowslip to be blooming, and besides, the leaves come out first on those. So I went back to look at it, and the flowers are aster-like, but the stems are thicker than on an aster and have these small pointed alternating leaflets on the stem. No, I haven't IDed it yet -- doesn't seem to be in my book. When it's a little sunnier out I'll take pictures and see if anyone else has a clue.
