From me: Why yes, I try not to buy from them either, unless I can't get what I want from somewhere else. And, I've written to them to ask why they've marked LGBT content as "adult" and stripped all such products of ranking, but they haven't done that with PLAYBOY PRODUCTS.

Even worse, they seem to think that explicitly sexual material like Sweet Savage Love is fine but Heather Has Two Mommies is adult. Huh?

It's kind of hard to do, but I hit the Contact Us button and sent in an email that way. Maybe if that doesn't get results, we should just send complaints to every form on the site...

Oh wait. L just checked -- Heather Has Two Mommies does still have a ranking.

But it still doesn't make sense that the history and dictionary books that Mark Probst or somebody on his LJ posted about, would be marked Adult and not Playboy. Um, history and dictionaries vs. porn?

A friend's husband pointed out that this could be an unforeseen and undesired result of buying a third-party filtering algorithm, and that polite complaints will hopefully set it to rights.

You'd think they'd have a dev server to test it on, and they probably did, but if they didn't look for it, they wouldn't have noticed the errors.
