Thanks :) I used to wear vests more often and then just stopped at one point. Then I found a couple of knitted ones I liked and have been working my way back to them.
Sorry, I can't tell if you're joking or my English was that bad.
The pattern for the vest, as in the paper pattern that comes in an envelope and is what I used to cut out the clock fabric, is by a company called Laughing Cow.
I spent a long while this afternoon at JoAnn's looking for any fabric printed with gears or clocks, and came up empty. There were several variations on the theme of the John Deere logo, though, in case anybody in lovely suburbia needs PJs or sweat pants.
Yeah, unfortunately this particular pattern is no longer in production so you have to look in different places to see if stores still have it. Or online. Lady Button Fabrics still has some.
I undid the inside layer where the collar was attached, almost all the way up to the center back of the collar, pinned it so the collar was flat but the inner edge now overlay the lining fabric and sewed it back onto the lining by hand. That stupid rectangle at the center front is now on the inside, which is nice if it's unbuttoned because the clock fabric's on both sides of the opening now. Definitely pita. I'll have to wear it or bring it to the next choir practice so you can see it.
