PSA: Our local hardware store has them, for anyone looking for these. And apparently they can't be shipped by air, only by truck.

Have to run; cleaning, dealing with AFF aftermath, and getting started on making clothing in time for the tea on Nov. 1. First item up is a riding skirt -- with the usual mod to the pattern for being a short person. Assuming I survive making that, a jacket is next... although I might be working on vests at the same time because I've never successfully made a jacket -- tried once and failed to understand the collar. But I think I have more experience now (hopes)...

Hm, I might at that. Turned collars look pretty, but they are evil. I don't like the easing business - at least modern jackets have thta. I don't know if this is like that as I haven't even opened the pattern. One garment at a time....

Thx :)

Goes back to my wilderness survival days.

Of course, with a four-year-old in the house, maybe not such a good idea...

Yup, they need to be kept somewhere out of reach -- not always easy with younglings. I figured out moving chairs to get onto counters when I was 5. Probably could have done it earlier but didn't have the motivation until then (my friend wanted a PB&J).
