25 out of 100 (and yet not all the same ones as fitzw), but I don't think it's right that the list has combined books into single listings, like the Narnia Chronicles and the Harry Potter books.
Also, I think it's interesting that there are the choices of Shakespeare's complete works and also Hamlet... which I've read, but in school our required reading play for Shakespeare was "The Scottish Play" (a naming superstition I never heard of until maybe 10 years ago).
Lest it seem like I didn't read much when I was younger, I read many, many books that aren't on this list... Black Beauty, any books by Walter Farley, pretty much any books on horses, native Americans, anything by Agatha Christie, lots of sci-fi and fantasy, and occasionally bits from my father's books when I was waiting for him to be done for the day... or, how I ended up learning about chi-squares when I around 11-12 years old...
And, I think Jonathan Livingston Seagull would be an excellent addition.
