Yesterday I posted Earth Day was on April 20, which is not correct. There are 8 free Earth Day concerts in various U.S. cities on April 20.
The Official Earth Day is April 22. Folks in various places are observing it anywhere from April 18 to April 26, from what I've found so far. Unfortunately, UMass Amherst doesn't seem to be one of them, although they've been doing some sort of climate change lecture series from last summer through end of January 2008. I prefer Earth Day, which is more inclusive of all the different things that we can do to help our planet.
Oh well. Maybe we'll just do our own little thing, like picking up litter along the sides of the roads here in Ashfield. Needs doing anyway, and snow should be gone by then!
