Grumble - Ice

Set out for PT this a.m.... and promptly slid down the stairs. Shoulder's fine, as I essentially fell on my butt and over more onto my left side. Needed to, as my right leg had folded under and the knee was over-flexed, so I had to try to take some pressure off of it.. L of course is fine -- he's always had better balance on ice than me, probably because he's had a lot more experience dealing with it.

Icing the rt. knee/lateral thigh now, and will be icing the rt. shoulder next. Even though it didn't get impacted directly, it was a bit of a bouncy ride.

The car was completely and rather solidly encased, so we called the trip off. Went back in via the other, more sheltered stairs -- which were still kind of slippery -- L has sanded them. Cancelled the appt. We'll see if the SCA business meeting happens today. It may be better down in the valley. Unless it warms up enough though, we may have to stay home from that as well.

I am glad you did not injure your post op shoulder, but still, ouch!

I think I've sorted out most of the achey bits, so I should be ready to try doing some stuff around the house soon. And maybe have some tea or hot chocolate...

i am so glad you didn't hurt the shoulder again... but even so any fall on ice.... ouch!! Hope the rest of the day goes well

Doing okay, thanks. And staying indoors!

We won't be going down to the business meeting this evening -- everything is still iced over up here. L and his brother Ray managed to spread sand and the minivan is now near the house, but the going is rough up here. Still, I think we'll be able to make it down for PT tomorrow morning... I hope :(

Meanwhile, reading and napping are good pastimes :)
