Peredur the Mawr!

helwenfitzw's cat is Peredur Mawr (Welsh for Percival the Great, or Big Percy), a possible Maine Coon, Norwegian Forest, or mix. Today our mighty Peredur defended us from the possible invasion of leaves, cast at our manse by a sudden wind storm. On duty as usual at the rearmost of the 2nd floor bay windows, he would pounce at any leaf that landed on the window sill. Happily, the wind abated and there is nary a leaf on the sill, and the manse on the verge is safe once again.

Date: 2006-10-22 01:16 pm (UTC)As it turns out, we're lucky our house is in good shape and the trees aren't near enough to be a worry (unless a branch dropped on the powerlines, like a few years back). An apartment building elsewhere in Holyoke got the roof ripped off, temporarily displacing over a dozen people.
