To Sleep, Perchance to Dream
Apr. 9th, 2022 05:51 pmPicked up my new apnea machine this week - an APAP (A for adjustable or something like that). Tried it last night, bit of a battle. We did a fitting at the office but sitting is not the same as lying down with your head on a pillow, so more adjustments happened. I managed to keep it on for a little over three hours and then gave up on it. Will try again tonight, of course. When you're having around 65 apnea episodes per hour, best to do that. Considering that many episodes puts a strain on the heart and that my father died a few months short of 62, I'm trying. So freaking tired today though.
Even if I only get up to 4 hours per night that would be good - obviously full nights would be optimal.
Depending on how things go, if I'm still really struggling with it I'll give the respiratory person a call on Monday or Tuesday.
