Barbara Geoffroy's Wake will be at her and David's home in Amherst, Sunday, at 1:00 p.m.

A chance to gather, celebrate and enjoy one-too-many adult beverages.

Memorial Service will be Monday, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., at the Newman Center on the UMass Amherst Campus, 472 North Pleasant Street.

I had no idea she had passed

It was very sudden. She was ill, they brought her to the hospital on Nov. 2. Advanced stage of some type of cancer. One week later, she was gone. She was able to hold on long enough for her son and his wife to fly back from the Middle East and was fully present for that. Dave said that was probably what she'd been holding on for, for she slipped away very soon after.

I am so glad she was able to hold on for that. She will be missed.
