Started grazing style of eating -- eating smaller meals but more of them, a couple of weeks ago -- not always successful, but working on it. Eating more often requires me to actually remember to eat, so there's that...
Anyway, lost 3 pounds so far!
Meals are 200-300 calories each, depending on activity levels for that part of the day, 6 meals per day (1200 - 1800 calories total). The idea is that it keeps your blood sugar levels more, well, level. And since your body can only absorb so many calories at a time, smaller meals means your body isn't automatically shunting the extra ones into fat storage.
Dinner out is more of a challenge, but there are lower calorie choices out there, or you can cut the meal in half and save it for later. When I do that, I separate the meal on the plate FIRST, then eat half of it. It's just harder for me to stop if I try to judge the amounts while eating.... although I did stop that time I had a chicken salad that was just too much for me.
A nice plus is that eating out is cheaper now :D
