helwen-I posted to the Laurel and Manche discussion lists that I took gwynt_y_storm as my apprentice at Bergental Yule.
-Everyone say 'hi' toislenskr! She's new-ish to Bergental/SCA, having only discovered us sometime earlier in 2006 (June for the Berg disc.list). A lovely lady, enthusiastic and friendly, also talented -- does at least quilting and spinning, and no doubt other things to come! Hopefully singing with next year, too :)
-Those not from around western Mass may not have metetainmbw, a friend and fellow Bergenthaler. She's been especially helpful not only at events but also to gwynt_y_storm during this year of recovering from having been hit by a car (March 1). Also does embroidering, cooking, is now the deputy to the chancellor of the Exchequer, sister to Derrick/Diarmit and daughter to Patricia, who are also involved in Berg. And apparently looking at getting into armor, from what I saw last Wednesday...
- Posted last week and again last night to one of TRM's heralds about the EK Stationers doing their annual presentation in court. Haven't had a response yet, but I expect things are pretty hectic, so hopefully will receive confirmation soon. Not sure if I have up-to-date contact info, so I also posted to TRM last night, to be sure I covered the bases.
- Contacted the event steward for EK 12th Night about Concentus singing. I expect we'll be singing in the kitchen and hopefully for a vigil (background music, sorta), but if there are other opportunities during the day, that would be nice.
- Made hotel reservations for Birka. Still don't know if we're merchanting, but at least we have a place to stay secured. Of course if we _aren't_ merchanting, then I expect we'll probably just daytrip. If the latter happens I'll let people know so that someone can take our room, as I know not everyone has been able to reserve.
