Please forward this to any and all lists as needed. We got a call at the house today in response to Emma's message to the Postal Service regarding the postal trailer at Pennsic.
The lady who called said she spoke to the Postmaster in Butler. The issue arose because the two employees who ran it have both retired. This early in the year he hadn't even thought about discussing a solution with the manager, but will, seeing as how he is being inundated with calls and messages.
The lady who called said that although there is no guarentee at this point, it is likely that a solution will be found, as the service is more than likely a big source of income for the Butler postal system.
I would suggest that we spread the word to all available lists that the Butler Postmaster is aware of our concern for the issue and will be addressing it with the Manager. The poor fellow is by himself in the office and his phone is ringing off the hook - I think we can leave him be for now. Perhaps someone from the Pennsic staff can contact him again in June to see if there is progress on the issue.
