Ran into Meguey and Vincent B yesterday morning! It was great to sit and chat for a bit <3
No joy at the farmers market - guess Lori had to change up her schedule, so the shoulder is still a bother.
We dug up and brought a white peony over to the family farm for Ma. Lyle planted it, with some help from Chris and Beth's kids, esp. William :) Got a bunch of stuff done in the house there, then back home briefly and then off to Easthampton.
Didn't see Meg and Vincent there, but there were a lot of people a Culture Chaos! Found Eli, so that was cool. Saw Dawn Rising hard at work, so we didn't talk to her but did chat briefly with Hunter, at Awen Tree. Tried out pops from Crooked Stick Pops - very good! Also got a little food from Glory of India. Enjoyed the music and seeing people making things and promoting their products or projects. Met PJ, who is trying to get folks together to work on reducing the amount of plastic people use.
We looked around at a store with antique/vintage things and found a lovely cream-colored pitcher with designs in green - claims to be late 19th c. Wedgewood - haven't verified that yet, but it wasn't in pristine condition - no chips but the gold detail is a little worn. Tolkien would've liked the designs, and I'm sure it'll look great in the library.
Cut out a few pieces for a jacket last night, too. Been trying to keep moving with sewing projects. Helped a couple of friends with getting projects going earlier this week. Young family, all about learning things and finding a different way to live in the world. As far as sewing, she has more overall knowledge but he was better at learning to use my sewing machine. But since they got home, she took over hemming his project, as he was concerned whether it would get done in time to wear to Solstice, given everything else they have to do. Still, learning happened.
Anyway! Had to take ibuprofen a few times yesterday but overall, a good day.
