Delivered and/or sold many things at Sommer Draw on Saturday. Wasn't the hit-and-run we planned, but it was nice chatting with folks we haven't seen in a while. It's also nice to have a few more things out of the house and barn.

Went to Home Depot to look at plywood for the trailer, for replacing the rotted panels at the front. Their stuff was even crappier than usual so we didn't get any. We did get some things for the older a/c (filter, accordion fold and foam for barrier between the two halves of the window), so it might last a few years longer than otherwise.

Got home, realized we'd forgotten to stop at the pharmacy while we were in G'fld. Took some herbal stuff to help, but still haven't found anything that works as reliably as pseudophedrine for decongesting.

Tore off the old plywood when we home...then while L did some mowing I removed most of the sawdust that was packed in behind it. This trailer is metal on the outside and wood on the inside, with a airspace between the two layers -- fortunately the sides are in great shape. Next step is L caulks and patches the bits where we're getting more daylight than we'd like -- mostly from some rivets having gone missing. I took pictures but haven't downloaded them yet.

For those coming late to the story, the trailer was used to store sawdust previous to us buying it.

Sunday we got a late start, but were able to take the plywood and some other stuff to the transfer point that morning. Then we went to Cummington Supply to see what they have for plywood and/or paneling, but they were closed. Then to Williamsburg, where we got some meds and also the curtain brackets that the local hardware store had run out of, as well as marking tape for the family farm's electric fence.

Somewhere in all this I've been doing an ongoing cleaning/clearing/moving of stuff, trying to find homes for food, dishes, and cleaning supplies that all make sense. You'd think after over a year I'd have this figured out, but of course construction in the basement prevented this for most of last year, and then I've been waiting on the trailer to take storage pressure off the house. Now I'm breaking apart the make-do system I've had in place, even though the trailer isn't ready yet, so that's making the basement even more...interesting.

Also making things interesting, L's right shoulder seems to be getting worse. Well, we'll figure things out.
