Weekend

Just "cool" enough yesterday that I pushed myself for 1-1/2 hours and moved stuff around in the barn and moved some of the bins of fabric to the basement. Also unpacked 2 boxes, threw away some stuff, and hung up a couple of things to air on the line. Yes, only 1-1/2 hours yesterday -- when you can't stop panting, it's time to stop!

This morning, watered all the potted plants and a couple of squash, then moved a few more things. Trying to get ready to move tent parts and for a visit this afternoon from a couple of friends. We're giving and/or loaning stuff to them for their upcoming wedding -- very cool, how they're trying to create a beautiful but relatively low-impact celebration.

We haven't gotten any rain yet...while that would be convenient for the afternoon visit, we could really use the rain! At least we're getting the breezes, which has helped to reduce the humidity -- hence my activity yesterday and today.

Finding Stuff

Been unpacking and finding things I haven't been able to use since we moved to Ashfield. This week I found a beautiful little pot/vase we got while visiting up in Halifax years ago. We'd gone up with Henry McQueen and stayed with Daffyd and his lady Deirdre (sp?) for a teaching event up there. A truly lovely time.

Another pot I found is a cooking pot made by Eadric the Potter. I have no idea how to use it yet, but hopefully this year...
