The D-Man (Honeycat) came over Friday evening last week, and also Saturday morning.
etainmbw and Patricia were here Saturday morning too. D and
fitzw put some things in the minivan and strove mightily measuring and cutting and putting up window trim. They did quite a bit!
The ladies and I worked on boxing a few books, sweeping/scraping/washing the floor in the bedroom
fitzw and I have been working on, and moving the bookcase against the wall.
fitzw and D moved the desk w/hutch against another wall.
fitzw has gotten most of the painting done in the corner bedroom we've been working on. Just needs a finish coat on the ceiling, some touch-ups on one of the walls, and a little repair work to some spots on the floor.

Our realtor came by for her first walk-thru yesterday. Lisa Z sold us our house back in '96 and we'd really hit it off at that time, so I was hoping she was still in the business - and she is! Really knows the local market and does her homework.

We've been given our orders - emptying a lot more of the house, and re-doing the bathroom floors. We were going to do the floors anyway, but she said they should be done before anything else. There's a little painting to do upstairs as well, and some touch-ups and a light to install downstairs. Even though the living/dining room might still be under construction when she starts showing the house, she said that's okay because it's obvious what we're doing and that the house will look/be better when we're done with that space.
We went out yesterday evening and bought tile, and
fitzw got started on removing the old flooring in the downstairs bathroom. He is nearly done already. Today we have to pick up the wax rings for the toilets, as he'll have to lift the toilets to do the floors, so the rings for the toilets will then have to be replaced (keeps things sealed and nice and tidy).

Thursday we pick up a rental truck and move a bunch of stuff up to the farm. So, more packing for me!
***
Interesting note: when I asked if we should take down the laundry lines, she said 'no', because more people are drying their laundry outside now, so it's a feature!
