AEDM

Didn't get the mon pattern done Friday - L gave me a massage instead. I'm good with that ;)

Saturday I finally found my old wedding dress from the first time I got married. Yes, I still have it, altho' I wasn't sure I did... I made it, so at the very least I figured I would either find someone who might need one or I would scrap it for parts. Well, not too many people my height and size around here, and then it got dripped on by something while in storage, so then I figured I'd still get some salvage from it...Saturday I wanted to try to save as much of the skirt as I could, so scrubbed stain remover into all the marks -- and they all came out!

It's frost white, so I'm thinking I can use at least the skirt for the snow queen. I don't think I want to keep the train though; might come in handy if I decide to try to resize/remodel the bodice. Hm, I might even have some of the bodice lace over layer material lying around somewhere...

Sunday the only thing I got done was making the mon pattern. Now I have to figure out how to temporarily stick it to the fabric so I can trace it, the life it and do it again -- three times. I can try holding it in place first, but not sure how successful that will be.

The skirt with rust stains is looking better; I re-applied the salt and lemon juice and left it out over the weekend. I'll bring that in today. I've decided that even if some of it still shows, it should be mostly lost in the gathers I'll be doing, so I'll use the whole thing for making bloomers. It's actually too long for Lolita bloomers, even for just-above-the-knee ones, but I can throw some pleats in to shorten them.

So, not a lot over the weekend. Back and hip continue to be a problem. More soaking in the tub and more using the theraroll today...

[EDIT: Going to look for my double-stick tape. Also, might try the Elmer's stick glue I have, for temporarily sticking the pattern down.]
